Aurora Halal is a producer and DJ based in New York, known for a vision of the club that combines body and mind: dance music as a vehicle for catharsis, trance and transformation. Her sessions, whether in DJ format or live with hardware, move between dark and psychedelic textures, hazy sensuality and industrial energy impacts.
Besides her work as an artist, she is a key figure in Brooklyn's underground scene: she drives the Mutual Dreaming series (also as a release platform) and co-founded the Sustain-Release festival, a meeting point for advanced sounds and DIY community.
Over the past decade she has taken her proposal through clubs and festivals on a global scale, with residencies and regular appearances at reference venues: resident at Nowadays (NYC), regular at Berghain (Berlin) and formerly linked as resident to De School (Amsterdam).
