Kim Ann Foxman
DJ, producer and vocalist born in Hawaii, key figure in New York's queer club culture, between raw house, acid and rave energy.
Kim Ann Foxman is a DJ, producer and vocalist, with roots in Hawaii and a career deeply linked to nightlife and queer communities in the United States. After passing through scenes like San Francisco, she settled in New York and from there has developed a direct and physical booth identity, with an evident love for house in its rawest version and for the tension of acid and techno.
Many knew her internationally for her role as vocalist in Hercules & Love Affair, but her journey as a selector and producer goes far beyond that chapter: she has driven her own sonic universe through labels and projects, including Firehouse Recordings and her activity with the project/band Pleasure Planet.
In her sets, technique is at the service of emotion and place: building community, sustaining the groove and elevating the dance floor with a mix of classic references and contemporary sensibility.
